Update

Both teams have been very busy the past 2 weeks! On Thursday, October 3rd varsity played in Hutchinson and JV played in Clay Center.  Then on Monday, October 7th, MHS hosted the varsity invitational at Stagg Hill Golf Club and on Thursday we hosted our JV invitational at Stagg Hill Golf Club.  Today the varsity girls headed to Topeka for their practice round at Lake Shawnee Golf Course.  Regionals is there tomorrow!

Hutchinson Tournament Recap:

It was a cold and windy day in Hutchinson.  The team struggled with an 8th place finish out of 18 teams.  Andi Siebert medaled with an 86 and a tie for 16th place.

Clay Center Tournament recap for our JV:

Our JV team struggled as well on this Thursday.  Please keep in mind that our JV team plays against Varsity teams from smaller schools making their competition rather tough.  Kealy Lhuillier lead our team with a 56.  (No pictures available)

Manhattan Invitational at Stagg Hill Golf Club:

It was a gorgeous day last Monday at Stagg! The girls took 2nd place out of 6 teams.  Andi Siebert took 5th with an 88, Rhys Phipps 9th with a 92, Kami Bussmann 11th with a 95, AJ Ryan 13th with a 97 and rounding out our team was Emily Yerman 103 and Andi Tanner 106.  Kealy Lhuillier also competed as an individual and shot a 117!  It was great to get some varsity experience for Kealy!

Manhattan JV Invitational:

This could have been the worst day ever to play golf for these girls! It was misting, very cold and rainy!  The girls persevered though and placed 4th out of 8 teams!  This was their final tournament of the season.  Kealy Lhuillier (Sophomore) lead the way with a 52, Lexie Smith (Freshman) had a 53, Lauren Erickson (Senior) 58, Julianna Poe (Sophomore) 60, Kate Page (Junior) 61 and Alexa Lohrentz (Freshman) 63.  Congrats to the girls for working hard this season and doing very well!

  

Regionals are this Monday at Lake Shawnee Golf Course in Topeka! These girls headed out this morning for their practice round today! We wish them the best of luck!
